Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Hi, I have a Westone Prestige 250 that I am selling, it has only been used once. Yes really only once and not for very long. It was my husbands and he never used it, it has been stored in a hard case in the bedroom closet. I am in California U.S.A. I have had a few offers on it, but would like some help from all of you Westone lovers. What is a good asking price, and I would rather sell it to someone that is going to love it and take care of it. I can post some photos on my website if anyone wants to see photos. Thank you. Karen

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Karen, it's only worth what someone wants to pay! Personally, I wouldn't pay US$1000 for one but you never know, someone might want a Prestige enough to pay that much; a better start might be about half that...
Good luck!

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
beautiful guitar! i'd love one of those, but they're out of my league, unfortunately! i'm sure you'll get a good price for it-they are quite sought after!
My memory's not what it was, so i'm not 100% sure what i've seen them go for recently, but $1000 is around £700, or thereabouts...which might be attainable, if at the top end... and with it being a 'time capsule' guitar... i'd say be open to reasonable offers, though...! even if they go for £500+, that's nearly $700. $500 is around £360, which sounds low to me,,,? if i had one, i wouldn't sell for that... not that i'd sell if i had one of those!
good luck!

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
just had a look in the ebay section of this forum, and one went for £680+ not so long ago, so not a million miles off the $1000, but i believe there were gasps all over the forum at what it went for...
having given it some thought, i'd say aim for $700 - $800 rather than the grand!
helpful link!
regards,
bob

Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Thank you for your quick replies. I have had two offers so far, one for $600.U.S. and one for $980.U.S. (not sure about this one) but I really want to sell this baby to a Westone lover, someone that will really take care of it. So if any of you know someone that wants it, please let them know that there is one available. Thank you Karen

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Hello Karen,
Firstly, I would like to point out to you that these forums are not just here for people to advertise guitars for sale, as stated in the forum rules. However, I do understand that you would prefer that the guitar went to someone who would appreciate it and look after it.
The best advice that I can give you is to echo what the other members have already said, and tell you to put it on eBay with a reasonable start price and possibly a modest reserve.
Good luck,
Pauline :flower: :queen:

I'll offer $250. Hey, it can't hurt to offer, right?

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Probably being picky, but if I was spending the sort of money Prestige 250s are worth now, I'd be looking for one with original P/ups and tuners. Having said that, the one on the ebay link is stunning

Re: Westone Prestige 250 for sale
Last year I paid $1220 AUD (inc. freight $120) for one and this year I paid $850 AUD - the pickup covers were missing, both beautiful instruments, I thought they were cheap, they are very high quality guitars, value increases as time goes on, there is only a finite number in the world.

It is an old thread but touches on good collectible instruments which are increasing in value over time.
