Melody Maker DC
Really like Melody Makers having owned quite a few original Gibsons.
Anyway, I saw this one on Ebay. It is Seventies Japanese from the Rose Morris company.
It came to me with a bolt on neck and original sunburst finish. It was that black, red yellow target burst and was not in bad condition so I could have saved it.
Converted it to set neck and added enclosed tulip tuners to replace the 40 year old versions.
Always liked Gibson's Pelham Blue so I found a tin of metallic blue paint in my local motor factors and for £2 decided it was close enough to be my Pelham Blue.
Pick ups were weak Stratty looking so I got new higher output pickups and put on the covers as per the vintage Gibson style.
All done for very little money but frets are too flat for my taste so I will refret when I can be arsed.
