Westone Prestige 250 on auction 19th september

Found this Prestige 250 that is going to be sold on auction at the 19th of september. Thought I would tell you if someones looking for a beauty like this!

18% buyers premium + 20% vat. Adds a load to the costs!!

I was thinking that..!

pickups, knobs, toggle surround and switch look all changed....plus the binding..and the costs....

Some nice Tokai's there

I missed the extra costs.

Just thought it could have been something for someone though I know theyre not coming to often and the last ones that has been for sale on ebay has been quite expensive at the end.

I would really like to have this guitar (even when not original) though I think this is one of the nicest looking guitars ever but now the economics to bad. 

Here in Sweden you never see them! Have nerver ever seen a Prestige for sale here. 

Buyers would factor the extras in when bidding, I guess, but that's quite a chunk! If it came up at the right price, elsewhere, I'd be interested if I'd got the cash.. 

They are beautiful guitars, though!

Beware though, if you bid online and win you would pay an extra 3% commission. So, by my reckoning, a £100 winning bid will cost £121 plus vat of 20% making a total of  £145.20. So almost half as much again. You still have to go and pickup promptly.

I'll be down at this auction, Thursday 19th. as I'm  in Keynsham at that time, 16 miles up  the road.

Not necessary after the Prestige, all depends on the price and condition????
Some of the other stuff has my attention also.

So if anyone is interested? let me know. I could/would send on.

That VAT and buyers premium will kill.  Wish I could come along!  Get on that bike and come pick me up quick.

There's nothing there that I'm particularly after, but as I said, nice of you to offer 

That Roadstar II would look good in my rail, shame the gas tank is running on vapour, shouldnt be too expensive either.

don't get me wrong....plenty of nice guitars there....just none that are on page 1 of my ever expanding wish list

Here's a bit of the auction action.

The Prestige sold for £240+ £51.84
The final price works out at VAT + 18% of the VAT, not the final hammer price. A total of 26.1% of the hammer price.

By the way it has a '57 classic at the bridge and a PAF at the neck. All PEQ controls are removed.

Yep! it's in much better condition than first described. Be a fool not to get it... 

Nice going Westbone..   that looks great, and I bet those pickups sound great in it as well.

Just regarding the auction, where all the guitars in pretty good nick?...they looked it on the website. And it seems a well run auction too....might have to take a trip down there next time they hold one 

btw...did you get any more?..

No there's some bridge parts missing on that and it was pretty bashed up.

Got something else instead, not at that auction....

That's 3 or 4 of the 350s, makes you wonder how many, perhaps most were in the UK.

So maybe there's a slight chance of you coming back skint hence being forced into selling the Daion to me
