This looks lovely but a hefty bin price.

Would be just smashing if a seller just once a blue moon would correctly quote the 1 in 96 "statistic" that has perpetuated into the routine selling point we have all become accustomed to by now.

Nary a too noticeable blemish on her though... to my eyes at least.

..so there I was, just flicking through ebay as one does, when I saw this X390 with a huge BIN price and 15 minutes to go.
I stuck in a bid, just on the off chance, and low and behold it cleared the reserve price....so now its mine

Apart from a small chip on the tip of the pointy head and a missing knob it looks like a minter and sounds really, really good.
To be honest, I've never been really drawn to the pointy ones, but now having held it and played it I have been well and truly converted ...it is a beautiful thing and I'm pretty chuffed with it to say the least.

I will get some photos up as soon as possible!

so here are the initial pictures, not even touched it yet....and not sure I will be able to find anything much that needs doing other than touch up the tip and source a new knob....

case a bit tatty outside but good condition inside, even had whammies, allen keys and a full set of non-original knobs in the compartment

Pearl White nail varnish from Asda or Claires accessories. Worked beautifully for my sunn Mustang in a very similar colour.

Looks in excellent condition.

Also thought the reserve would have been higher with that BIN price.
So just ignored it.

Just need to get a replacement knob now.....did I read a thread about someone here that reproduced them?...or was it the brass ones only he had available?..

Just looking at the B and E string spacing on the bridge, looks slightly out....do I just loosen the string spacing lockdown on the saddle and slide it across or do I have to loosen the string lock on the head first?
Never had a kahler bridge before and I'm very impressed with its design, seems to do everything.Early days yet but I much prefer it to the BMD I got recently with my Spectrum II.....that thing took me an age to set up and even now its still not right.
