Trade my Dynasty for your Dimension IV or Spectrum LX?

The guitar is in good shape, a few minor dings.
It seems to have a little bit of a wiring problem, sometimes cuts out and there is no sound at all when you pull the coil tap knob (I think) in the bridge position.
I'm looking for any other Westone HSH with that mid-80s configuration with 3 push/pull knobs.
The Dynasty comes with a case. I am not asking the one you want to trade to have a case, so that should sweeten the deal.
Also not really that concerned with cosmetic condition, but I do want the guitar you offer to not have any mechanical or electronic problems. I'm not good at dealing with those.

Are you only interested in an LX Spectrum or would any earlier Spectrum (or Phoenix for example) with that pup/switching configuration fit the bill?

I ask as I have an Electra x185 which does everything an LX can but does not have a behind the nut stringlock, though one could be fitted to it if you would wish it so. A few bumps and bruises too but the MMK's in it still roar.

I didn't realize there were earlier versions that had that switching.

However, I can't deal with the 6-screw trems. I should have specified: two point trems only (the Bendmaster FT, I think).

Okay, fair enough. If 2 post trems are a must then as far as an Electra Phoenix goes you will want to stick to the x189 and x199.

The x189 is the same as my x185 (also the same as a Spectrum GT) with a 2 post trem. The x199 is basically the early version of a Spectrum FX although only a few have the bayonet neck join, most were a set neck join.

The only other Phoenix with a 2 post trem was the x195 but that is the oddball S-H-S pup layout, although it is reputed to be Tom Presley's favorite switching scheme.

Yeah, sorry to be kind of stupid/stubborn about it.

I just can't stand the vintage Fender trems. I can get good trem stability out of a 2-point trem with a string lock, tho.

I do - Spectrum LX - and if I were closer, I'd be interested but the shipping kinda kills it for me, eh!

the double rail pickup is another version of MMK45

I didn't know the 45 came with dual rails.

Actually that rail is superficially cosmetic at best. It is just a strip of plated metal that covers the posts.

You see that variant of a 45 on almost every x300 Pantera, usually the combo type with one strip.

The dual strip type was more commonly found on the different Aria shredders in the mid / later 80's like the XX, ZZ, RS (Warrior line).

At least that's how I am recalling it.

What I really, really want is the all-red Dimension IV.

But I'm not holding out hopes for one.
