Westone t-shirt
Hey,
I was thinking (it happens sometimes ) that having a Westone t-shirt would be cool this summer...
There are sites (like this http://www.cafepress.com/ ) that allow to create custom advertising objects like t-shirts, cups, hats, ....
What do you think about it ?

Re: Westone t-shirt
I've been wanting one, though I think I'd prefer the image to be much bigger and centered (and maybe using the colors from a headstock instead of just white).

Re: Westone t-shirt
i got one years ago from... fcn? as i remember, you had to give them your serial number to prove you were a westone owner, and they sent you a t-shirt. mine was red, and the logo was on the right so it could be seen while you were playing your guitar!
i think i've still got it somewhere, though it'll be very tight these days!
i'll see if i can dig it out!!
p.s. i think the logo was smaller (my personal preference) and in yellow. i like the look of those, though!

hope this works....
further to my earlier post(s) i think i had to send them a few quid, but it was at a discount to the retail price, if indeed they were generally available...
i can't see this working....

Re: Westone t-shirt
somehow got the same pic twice, even though i selected 2 different pics. i had to mess with the colour/contrast etc as the close up was a bit crap. the faraway shot is better. have a look, anyway:

these do it!
here's a link to a t-shirt company in the uk who offer a design your own service. i'm waiting to hear from them to see if they'll reproduce the logo on a shirt for me.

Re: Westone t-shirt
Yep, up for one of these.
Err, can you check if they do extra-large, bearing in mind that some of us are not in the first flush of youth and carry a few excess pounds?
Cheers

t-shirt
hi,
i've heard back from the guy, and he's sent me a mock up of the shirt. looks good! he can do s-xxl as standard, and other sizes given a few days notice! i'm going to give him a call in a bit, and he should be able to send it out on monday. £18 all in, which is pretty good for a one off t-shirt. supposed to be good quality, ethically sourced, and all that. here's the mock up, and logo. i'm going for logo on the right as per my old one, and no border. that's how i pictured it in my head, before he came back with the mock ups. hope this works!:
the guy's really helpful, by the way, a pleasure to deal with!
cheers,
bob

Re: Westone t-shirt
Nice work there Bob!
I couldn't help noticing that your Photobucket user name happens to unfortunately be the same as that of a rather rude member that we had a while ago and thankfully, have not heard from since!
I might have to be ordering myself one or three of those T-shirts very soon, thank you for sharing it with us!

Re: Westone t-shirt
Hi Hans,
I have an A4 sized image of the eagle with the logo if that would be any good to you. I can always crop the logo off it if you were just wanting the eagle on its own. It is black on white if that is any use to you.

Aw Shucks!
You've got me blushing now Hans!
Sorry if I'm sounding a bit dim here but do you mean a jpeg image when you say a 'digital image'?
Pauline (Aka Aunt Polly!) :flower: :queen:
P.s.
Just a thought here Hans, I can send it to you as it is, (I'm not too sure about resolution settings etc.,) and if you have Photoshop, you can go to print with preview and alter the image size to fit the paper for printing.

thanks-i'm really pleased with the shirt and, as i've said, the guy (dave) is a legend! i emailed the logo from the top of the forum, and he used that. even better results may be had from the larger file you have on your pc,,,?
oh heck! i might have to change my photo bucket user thingy! i wouldn't want to be tarred with the same brush as someone like that. i got my name from the fact that i support clyde fc, by the way, so he must be another clyde fan..? i think a lot of clyde fans (not that there are a lot of us) use variations on the team name and nickname (bully wee) as user names and email addys.
if he was as rude as that, then it's as well he's not been back! mind you, you seem to get these idiots who 'pass through' forums. i've encountered them on other forums... not nice! but at least they don't hang around for long!
this seems like a really warm friendly place to chat and make new friends who have a shared interest (in westones)! i like it here!

Re: Westone t-shirt
Nice 'T', bob, but it's gotta be said , I like the look of your red one; what are the odds of one of those being done by the fella who did your black one?
There was a move over at Matt to have "T"s done as well; I must put the needle in.... That said, there were some Vantage hats done a couple of years back which were superb quality; I have 2 - one for wearing and 1 for gigging!!
I've tried once or twice in the past to have an actual picture of one of my guitars put on an iron on transfer which works quite well....

Re: Westone t-shirt
thanks! yeah, i always loved that old red one. especially as it's 'official', sort of. as i remember FCN, who imported westones into the uk, sold them. i guess they had permission to make/sell them from matsumoku..?
to make one like it he'd need the artwork, i guess... if there's a copy somewhere of that exact logo, and someone could get it to him, then he can make it!
i don't know if the t-shirt is in good enough condition to get a good photo... i'll have a try over the weekend, maybe. and the yellow on red, might be awkward, too... and the weave of the cotton... i can't see it working.
but, hey, i'm glad you like the shirt(s)!

Re: Westone t-shirt
As a disclaimer I did mark up the price $1 USD for each item. I figured if I sold a few I could get a free shirt out of it for the couple hours of work I put in designing the stuff. None sold as of yet but I'm not really trying to sell them, just wanted everyone to have the option to get at some Westone merchandise. Don't know if the logo is still copyrighted or public domaine so the stuff may be erased before you order one. If you want you can design one yourself by creating an account and taking a few minutes of your time.
Re: Westone t-shirt
Is it possible to obtain these shirts at this time? Anything left?
An XL with a black logo would be ...... terrific.

That's keeping the 'ole cult status alive!
Just wondering....any chance do ya think of:
1) producing the logo as it is on the Spectrum headstock, i.e, red on black?
2) or, how pricey would it be to be very "snooty" and include the model name/number as well?
3) finally, how about the older script version 'fer us what gots the Thunder I-A?
Meantime, great job to bring this to life!
Thanks

I got the long sleeve and short sleeve black and the pink short sleeve for my wife. Pretty good quality on those three products. Not silk screen which would be better, but still pretty nice.

OK, I'm up to speed.
Thanks!! - feeling sort of stupid as I didn't read back on the thread to the bit where you'd created all those designs. Awesome work my friend.
I will get a couple of T's for my son and wife... I'll order them up tout de suite, tout le monde. Thanks for the work!!!
