Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces
Hi folks,
I got my XA 1330 back from my nephew as a project for myself and need a few parts to make it whole. Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces. Are there any other brands that are easy to retro fit?

Re: Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces
Nope.
The trem bar - bendmaster Deluxe, right?? - is available from Stewmac in the "imported" section as it's a 6mm thread.
The locking pieces are available from Sgt Vimes in here for postage; PM him for details. Do bear in mind that as well as the locking pieces you need similarly shaped 1mm thick shims that go underneath the strings; otherwise you turn the stringlock into a string guillotine!! Most in here have made their own so it's not hard, just a little fiddly; I made mine from the steel strapping that goes around triple dump wool bales; price was right - the pieces were free in the trash!

Re: Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces
I have the bendmaster trem on my Pantera....I have replaced the tremolo bar as the Axe came without a bar. I don't like the slop factor and would like to find a replacement bar with no slop like my PRS has on it. I know the PRS will not fit so do any or you have any ideas?

Re: Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces
I'm afraid we're stuck with a certain amount of slop in anything mechanical like the wang bar, eh, however you can mitigate it a little by the application of a little plumbers thread tape around the threads of the bar; though some of the Bendmasters had a grubb screw in the wang bar collar so that you could tighten the bar in any position you chose rather than have it swinging loose.
The Fender fix is a stout little spring down in the wang bar hole which works really well until you forget it's in there and lose the bloody thing!
Be aware that the bar for the Bendmaster is a 6mm, too; not a 5mm or 11/32

Re: Tremolo bar and locking nut pieces
Presume you have one of these on your Bendmaster that the arm screws into.
You'll notice that both the nut that sits under the bridge plate and the top half have flats for a spanner.
Nip them up to eliminate any slop you don't want.
When screwing the trem bar in hold the top half with said spanner.
Problem solved.
If you haven't got the nylon friction washers use fibre washers.
Don't know where your at but these fit. Don't use their 6mm threaded ones(all 3 colours in photo). Right thread but the bar is only 5.2mm.

ALL THE ABOVE FOR BENDMASTER DELUXE TREM.
For the Bendmaster FT type.
The arm screws into a collar like below.
All you do is put the trem arm in(Loosen the lock nut) and tighten the collar onto the nylon friction bush down in the trem block to desired tension on arm. Then nip up the lock nut.
