Electra x935cs "Endorser". I posted before clean up pics on here already, but now she's all cleaned up with correct knobs and switch tip.
I want to share good pics so you can see the Les Paul style that was pre Westone. This is as close to a Westone Les Paul as it gets, I don't know why the body style didn't carry over when Electra went Westone.
From 1983. MMK53's, mahogany body with super thick maple cap, 3 piece neck, bayonet set neck with shaved heel (so nice), two push pulls for coil tap and phase reverse, bound body and neck, and gorgeous flame.
Check out this backside, feels great.

As beautiful an instrument as that is and it is.
Westone did and have made a Les Paul type.
The Prestige 250.

Beat me to it, Damian.
Westone did simplify the tonal options on the Prestige somewhat with that PEQ control setup, correct?

Beautiful gits both...but I'd have to ultimately go with the one without the Gumby headstock.

Re: If Westone made Les Pauls... it would be this.
I meant to the eye, I should've clarified that. The Prestige is styled with a most purposeful difference to a Les Paul, unlike the Electra x935 which was clearly more of a clone. It's obvious that comparatively the Prestige was the closest thing to an actual "Westone" produced Les Paul. Although the Presty lacks the rounded top bout which would've overtly put it into the LP clone arena, it wasn't designed aesthetically to be a blatant nod to the LP like the Electra x935 was. It's the closest thing Westone had to a Les Paul, yes, although the Electra is much more a distinct Les Paul, which is why I'd said what I said.
And with the Electra's shaved heel and and cool electronics, it clearly fits into the Westone era and should've been carried over. That would've given true Les Paul fans a Westone Les Paul clone. So that's why I said "If Westone made Les Pauls", as the x935 is as close to a Westone LP total package as we can get. Feels like a Westone, too. Ya'll should get one.
And right on Barry, why'd they choose the GUMBY look?! It does kinda grow on ya though, odd though it is.

Re: If Westone made Les Pauls... it would be this.
I know what you mean Chad.
The Prestige 250 have PEQ tone controls. Series/parallel but just rolling it as opposed to pull/push.
The Prestige 227 has pull/push.
They did carry things over.
Don't know if you've seen a Prestige neck join.
Here's a pic. anway.
You don't see many Electra's over this side unfortunately

Nice! Just like the Electra, nice and scooped! I'd never seen one Damian, thanks for the pic. Such great quality. Those Presitge's are so hard to find. And command big prices.

Just realized, both those Prestige's are '82. Maybe the other way round as yours is '83.
I'm keeping my eye out for one on those Electras

They're hard to find, one of the holy grails of Electras. And the Electra guys snap them up right away when a nice one's on offer. Sorta like us with certain guitars.

Once you hit an open E on an x270 with the gain switched up and go out for a leisurely bite while it sustains you quickly (very quickly) forget all about that "Gumby" headstock.
Arthur, straighten these yutzes out, will 'ya?

Join the dabgum forum already then. At least 3 of these x935's have exchanged hands privately there in the last 6 months or so.
We would love to have you along, Damian.
