... thank rice it's Saturday...
... I've had a good day, chaps;
played guitar this morning - Pantera X300 & Spectrum SP1012; neighbors got the benefit of that and my chops seem to be returning!! Yay!!
Played croquet this afternoon and won after a seriously good tussle....
... having a beer or three while my tea is cooked...
Ahhh... Australia; what's not to like?!

I would love to visit Australia someday, except for the extremely poisonous snakes and spiders it looks like a great place.

I've lived here on and off since I was 19, and I've only ever seen 1 small snake in the wild, and that was non-venomous! Yeah, loads of spiders but once again, you don't seem to see the really nasty ones at all.
Thank you chaps; yes, really, Tooheys Extra Dry; it slides down real easy after a hard day on the lawns.....

Dear John
I wanted to move to Oz when I was 44. My oldest boy was 16 at the time and he said that he would just stay at Gran and Papa's.
I couldn't bear to break up my family and leave my boy at home, so I didn't pursue it.
I am currently completely pissed of by the UK climate - Can you help!!?
Hoax
PS - Ice - I believe that you are correct with your second assertion and that chicken does indeed taste like urban legend, but only when grilled properly on the barbie!!
Funnily enough, urban legend and crocodile have distinctly different flavours.

Re: ... thank rice it's Saturday...
Whaddya me to do; bottle some sunshine and send it your way??,
See, therein lies perhaps the only advantage of being a New Zealander...... We can hop the ditch to Oz anytime with no visa restrictions, whereas you Scots, Poms and other assorted miscreants need to jump through some pretty major hoops!
Crocodile tastes just fine....

Re: ... thank rice it's Saturday...
None for me ta. We've been having a ridiculously hot year here (and in most of North America for that matter). And in the Great Lakes Area we get the high humidity along with it, pushing the "humidex" level into the 40°C's at times. No rain though. We can use that if ya gots it.

I can only make REAL jambalaya when a hunting bud of mine send me up a couple pounds of 'gator every year around Halloween. It just is not found commonly enough up north here without unscrewing an arm to pay for it.
Far superior to the chicken I'm forced to substitute in it's stead when I am truly desperate.

Re: ... thank rice it's Saturday...
Glad you had a great day. You need them every now and again.
My Wife's friend live in OZ. She says there's beer stores where they'll crack one open for you to drive home with. That true?!
Hope to visit one day. It's the home of a lot of great things. Like crazy wildlife and Hillsong. Halfway around the world and they still speak English. Well, kind of.

No, hell no, well, not that I've seen! Perhaps in the outback...
No alcohol sold in supermarkets, either, which is a pleasant surprise after NZ and the UK....
Australian English is pretty close to NZ English, so we muddle through!

I think it was in the outback actually, she lived there. She gave us a book for Christmas about Christmas in the outback, was hilarious! Sounds like the States version of the deep south.
