Westone Headstock Decal
Hi
Currently restoring an all Black 'Thunder 1A' and find it is missing the iconic 'Westone' Headstock Logo.
Firstly was/is this a decal/transfer or painted on during the finishing process?
Looking at the sites 'Adverts' section and photos of members gee-tars, it suggests I'm after a white lettering/isignia design.
Anyone have a full-size template that at least I could have a decal made up from?
Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

Re: Westone Headstock Decal
Very true!
Most in here who have done a total resto have made water slide decals at one stage or another, with varying degrees of success; I made some for my Raider II which worked really well, but another set for a custom build was pants and needed the touch of my friend with the airbrush!
I'm not sure how you'd go about getting the Westone logo into some sort of order for making a decal, though - however, there are plenty in here who do know such stuff!

Re: Westone Headstock Decal
Having done some research I was thinking of cheating and ordering to be honest. Once the machine heads and locking nuts are off take a close up photo and send it to Rothko & Frost.

Granted this was 2 years ago, how did you make out ordering the Westone decal you needed Syd?Sycosyd wrote:Having done some research I was thinking of cheating and ordering to be honest. Once the machine heads and locking nuts are off take a close up photo and send it to Rothko & Frost.
If still needed, I've ordered a Westone sticker from this seller on ebay:
