Hi all,

Firstly does the techglide or the trem thats on the Prestige 117 model have the same 74mm post spacing as the Ft trem ??
If so does anyone have any idea where i could get one or if they have any weakness ??
Will post the project once I've decided what I'm doing with it..

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
The 117 had what looks to be the Bendmaster Precision 2 poster. and yes; that and the FT are interchangeable, well, I can swap the FT from my LX onto the SX with no dramas!
They're a good bridge, the only problem these days is getting spare string claws should you suffer the misfortune of breaking one. And the stringlock is an orphan; if it's stripped, then that's a whole other world of hurt...
They don't show up very often on the bay, which is about the only way you'll get one these days!

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
The one on the 117 doesn't have string claws, or fine tuners or a string lock. It's the precision tremelo tailpiece, same as on the passive Thunder III model pictured here -

It does have the same post spacing as the Bendmaster FT and Deluxe. I've never seen one for sale.

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
Early Westones had Tekglides on them? I was not aware of that. I thought only the transitional Electra/Westones like my x185 had them.
Always thought Tekglides were those 6 screw affairs as well.

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
I think the only one that did was the Spectrum ST with a Tek Glide II, 2 screw fitting

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
Thanks Corsair,Midhilis an Iceman...
Think i've found a shaller unit but it's pricey, with same 74mm post spacing..
Knew it would be a long shot about seeing them for sale but thought if you don't ask you don't findout ...
Does anyone have any other ideas about or come across any 74mm post spaced.trems...???
Thankd again G.A.S. man (Steve)

are these the same as the 3 base plates you handed to me david?
these seem to be 74mm post spacings, but I dont have very accurate measuring tools, just a steel rule.

Re: Question about techglide trems ???
Why didn't I think of that? Yes, that's the same as on the Prestige 117, and I have a set of chrome saddles for that trem

Hi Steve, as you can see, this trem fits pretty much any spacing thanks to a sort of blade system GFS trem.
You might have intonation problems with it though.
