'lo all.
I had a spare moment or two today and updated the software behind the site as well as some of the plugins. Theoretically it should make the overall use of the site a bit smoother and quicker. The changes do not affect the user interface, but could I ask the regular users to please let me know if they experience any operational 'weirdness'?

While I'm at it a big thanks for the ongoing support of the site. According to our hit counter we've had close to 15,000 hits since it was launched about a year back. Not mega numbers but very respectable nonetheless. The more hits, the higher up in the Google ranking we go. So click away!

Right on, i'll definitly keep myself around here, as im a huge fan of Westones and this site now!

wow, you did do some changes on there, nice work, was on there this morn, and it didnt look like that good work, just had to use a wiring diagram for the westone i have in my Avatar pic ,the other day, to get her screaming again.

In a recent post we discussed the pro's n con's of including MIK Westies in the information site. There were good arguments both ways, but since the issue remains unresolved as I write, and there are already MIK models up there, I thought I'd try a small compromise solution(?) in the meantime.

I have begun to add small flag icons to the manufacturing references which I hope will help identify MIK built products in particular. You'll see them sprinkled about the currently posted Korean model pages such as The Spectrum I series:

She's gone now - I haven't been drinking either. Every image on the homepage was replaced by some woman licking her own armpit and to make matters worse, she was about as hairy as my arse!!

Yeah got that armpit licking picture the other day on something but with no writing over it, just the picture.

Have a look at the bridge stringing on the DLX(We1400cs) Spectrum. Strange or what By the way that bridge is the same as Encore guitars used and is a replacement for the Bendmaster FT type.

I've not had this happen to me, but then, I haven't had too much to do with the site this past couple of weeks. It may have had something to do with the changeover of the server recently. These bloody spammers and hackers are everywhere and might have sneaked in for 5 minutes when Neil was in the process of setting things up.

All seems calm ATM.

I've never seen these hairy armpit licking ladies .... I browse the site most days.

She's back but is only populating your little national flag images. Is it possibly that she has come as a result of you adding the national flags? Before, every image on the homepage had been replaced by the hirsuit hussy.

I hadn't changed strings on it yet as I am hoping to get clamps & washers made up for it this weekend and will be sending updated pics to Barry then.

I just figgur'd something up there to give folks an idea was better than nuthin'.

I really don't know what's going on boyz.
I haven't yet experienced this, um, entertainment, but I am getting very concerned that the site may have been compromised (assuming that my virtual leg is not being pulled here). I'll contact Neil Smith and have him check the server for signs of infiltration since this appears to have happened since the switchover.

I have yet to see what these guys are talking about, Barry. I was over on the .net side again just this morning and only lovely guitars are to be seen.

All clear on my side as well nothin there but Westone beauty.

Very weird.
It appears that the hairy infestation is restricted to the UK, at least from what I can tell from this distance. North American access seems normal. I've contacted Neil and I'll let you know what he finds if anything.

Erm... that lady is my fault.

When I changed the servers over I also changed the hotlink protection for the site. The hotlink prevention stops ebay users, and other sites helping themselves to images served from this site. Instead of getting a tasty guitar they get a hairy armpit.

Not sure why it is kicking in for vistors to the site, but I suspect it is due to the recent server change confusing your browser caches. Perhaps a clean up of those will make our lady friend disappear... I saw it on one page during the changeover last week, but as soon as I cleared my browser history and cache it was gone.

On the other hand.... I may be systematically swapping all the pictures for armpits...

I just picked the first image that made me feel a little sick when I searched for hotlink images online. honest.

What I'll do later on is change the image to something a bit less controversial - just so if it crops up again nobody has answer awkward questions from friends and family!

Clearing the history including cache has not worked for me. Old licky is still there. I use Firefox as my browser.
