One of the 48....ebay UK
Stumbled across this Pantera X350MA on ebay UK. The Seller does not mention Westone in the title. Looks like it needs some TLC. He ships worldwide too but postage is very expensive.

Pickups don't look OEM, either... I'm sure they're not white under the covers.... £500 is way too steep for that, IMHO....
Back cavity cover.... Is that original?

Then there is another potato famine going on over there I don't know about?
Re: One of the 48....ebay UK
I don't really have a problem with rising prices as I have built up a fair collection of Matts guitars. Personally, I would be gutted if the prices were falling.
I know that my attitude might not suit all. But ask yourself - If you had just bought a Prestige 250 for £450 and within months you happened to see 2 or 3 selling for £250, would you be happy?
I would think that the answer would be no.
We as a group, probably own more than our fighting weight of Westones and other Matsumokus, so we should not be too bothered about rising prices.
For the record, I have bought about 27 and sold about 2, so I am not here for a quick buck.
Also, now that I am on a roll and pissed (again) lets just stop doing all of the slagging off of peoples guitars, prices, auctions etc. I made a point of this when I first joined this site and you can check and verify that I have remained true to my convictions. I have never, and will never criticise (criticize for Northern Americans) anyone else's guitar, in terms of price, modifications, boasts, as it is just not the done thing for me.
If you are either Waldorf or Statler, please stop!

I can relate to most of what you're putting forward Graham. Every guitar purchased by myself or my lovely bride has remained with us and we as of yet have never allowed a considered purchase's "future" dictate in our decisions to buy or pass. We look for and pursue those instruments which hold greater values to us personally in respects other than potential profit.
My intent when posting threads that ridicule certain auctions or sale listings are just that... ridicule. Nothing intended as a personal attack against the seller, save for the utter lack of common sense in researching a fair estimation of the fair market value of the instrument.
If that seems perverse or immature or just plain mean or whatever, so be it.
A flawless to very near mint example should command a premium price in my book... easy, peasy, lemon-squeezey.
And a misidentified or misrepresented or broken-down old nag of an example asking a ridiculous price deserves to be laughed at.
Y'know wat I meen, guv'ner??

well, for me, an item is only worth what one is prepared to pay for it.

I was going for a Lenny McLean "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" type of thing, but...
Nah, just a plain and simple poor imitation that stands blind'n on it's own.
