Getting one back.
I'm sure there are quite a few of us who have had to part with a guitar due to $$$$ reasons at some time or another. We always regret it, and usually want to get that guitar back.
About 15 years ago I sold one of my beloved Paul Reed Smith guitars for a very low price because I really needed to money at the time. Ive complained ever since that I shouldn't have sold it, and even tried to buy it back at twice the price on more than occassion from the guy who lives 1100 miles away. Now I could always get another PRS, but this one had been through hundreds of gigs with me over the years and meant something to me.
So my girl gives me an early birthday gift yesterday.. I take the wrapping paper and recognized the case right away - It was my PRS. She called friends of friends and tracked it down and got it back for me at the same price I sold it to him for (I made her tell me how much she speant ) What a neck on this guitar - it really is a player. And what a great gal I have to actually go through the trouble to get something that means a lot to me. What a great day yesterday.
So while not a Westone story, I figured if anyone is looking for a guitar they regret selling then I guess the moral of the story, is to leave it in the hands of your lady to get it back for you

Just a quick phone pic from yesterday. This is the same model Alex Lifeson used in the mid 90's to mod 2k's.
