A real vintage guitar from the year of my birth
Hi fellas,
besides the WESTONE guitars, I fell in love after a found my green CONCORD on a flea market,
my other love in the guitar world are HAGSTRÖM guitars.
I have one of the new models which are back on the market since around 2005. Good nick for the prices I think.
In case you ever made it the Sweden (besides all Swedish forum members), a visit in the Hagström museum in Älvdalen is highly recommended.
But now I have my 1st original MADE IN SWEDEN HAGSTRÖM III from around 1965.
As I bought the guitar, she wasn't in good shape, bridge missing, original strings from the late '60s.
Some soldering hasn't had any contact anymore, etc....
Major cleaning, polishing, a new bridge, all solderings reworked and voila -->
HAGSTRÖM III
B.T.W, she sounds brillant...

Re: A real vintage guitar from the year of my birth
That's a new one on me hendrik. But Good Grief, so many switches!!
My band buddy had a Super Swede (LP style) back in the early 80's but I'm not sure why he got rid of it. Lately I'm seeing a few guitar students locally showing up with Hags. Nice to see this label making a comeback.

I'd love to hear a recording with an example of all the switches. I love lots of switches when they makes sense and have purpose.
