New Member-Longtime X390 Owner
Hello to all. I am a new member to this forum but have been an X390 owner for about 16 years. It's pearl white with a Kahler; haven't seen too many of those. I did replace the stock pickups with EMG 89s soon after I got it; so far it's been the main guitar I've played (I'm a bass player mostly, have other guitars but the Westone was the one I REALLY wanted). I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Welcome here; there are a few of the lads with X350s and X390s, so I'm sure they'll be along shortly!! Did you keep the MMK75s that came out of it??

I don't think so, that was a long time ago. I'll look in a few places where I may have put them; if I do find them I'll let you all know.

What I suspect most of us do in here is to upload our pix to an online photo storage like Photobucket, and then c+p the .img links into our posts here...

Hello x390 and welcome! This thread is the one that helped me learn how to upload pics...

It is really easy with Photobucket. After your pics are online there you would select one of them, choose the "get url's" option, and then pick the lowest of the 4 choices (begins with img) to cut and paste to your post. I am repeating Corsair here but as you can see I am less economical with my verbiage.
The best thing to do would be resize them to 800 x 600 I believe before uploading them to Photobucket. The editing options online there are not so good.
And yes if you find those MMK75's please DO let us know.

These are pictures of my X390. This guitar was adjusted at the SLM guitar shop on 6/86. I got this from Atlanta Discount Music in late May 1995 for $249; I believe new this guitar retailed for close to $1100. (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I've taken care of it since I got it; what you see here is basically how I bought it (with the exception of the pickup change).

Pointy shredders were all the rage in the '80s but by the '90s you couldn't give them away. I think you will be pleased to know that your investment has appreciated somewhat since your initial purchase.
My buddy ordered a Jackson custom shop soloist in '86 or so, waited nearly a year, and it cost over $2k. In the early nineties, I think he got $400 for it. And then it showed up on Ebay a few months ago and he bought it back for $550 or so - so he's almost even on it after 25 years!
Look in 'Members Westones' and you will see several of these.
I bid $325!

These are somewhat hard to come by nowadays, that's a nice example you have there. So do you still have the original pickups?
$375 is my offer. Not that you're on here to sell it, but hey, don't hurt to offer!
