Fender Bullet, like Concord
Here is my newly aquired 1981 Fender Bullet, it is a short run 'parts guitar' featuring a surplus tele neck, tele like body and mustang pickups.
I can't help but be reminded of a Westone Concord, but tonally she is a Fender.
The bridge is moulded out of the steel pickguard
USA Tele neck
Not the best comparison

Re: Fender Bullet, like Concord
I had one of these a while ago, it was a nice sounding guitar, but a previous owner has put heavy guage strings on it, for slide, and then left it like that for years unplayed, but tuned up to open E. The neck was pretty warped, and although I managed to adjust most of it out, I couldnt get a lowish action on it.
I ended up selling it on, and it helped fund my nice 50s Classic Tele.
Totally leftfield guitar the Bullet, made just before Fender took the Squier route for low price guitars.
These things fetch good money now, possibly silly money too.
Fender have made some fairly outlandish guitars in the past, and still do to this day. Theyre not all Teles and Strats
Lovely guitar there, I remember mine sounding really funky.

Re: Fender Bullet, like Concord
Was your one made of plywood too? (laminate)
These where cheap as fish guitars, bottom line cheapo buget models. MIK.
Some were made in the US, still a dirt cheap guit.
With a name like Fender on the headstock any sucker will buy it.

Re: Fender Bullet, like Concord
they were (mostly) all usa assembled out of korean parts. the bodies were "mahogany plywood". the fretboard tended to have a "kick" at the high frets, which would require the frets be removed, and the board reshaped.
the pickups were leftover from the end of the mustang run.
i had mine fixed, put lace sensors in it, and it carried me through many gigs.
i only have 1 pic of it, but my pants are down in the shot......so, i hesitate to show it..... ..."youth is wasted on the wrong people."
