Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
I suppose these do not surface but once a blue moon but I am looking for (hoping for?) an x350ma. Any opinions on my chances or any leads would be appreciated.
Re: Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
They're out there for sure, with most owners probably not even know how special a guitar they have. They do surface rarely, however. Maybe post a wanted request on one of the big guitar forum sites, consistently check Craigslist, Ebay, etc. It takes work and time to find your ideal guitar, so if you really want it you'll usually need to invest some effort. Time and diligence will pay off though, and you'll have one cool guitar!

Re: Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
I joined this forum about 8 months ago specifically to help with finding a Pantera X390, and then was reminded how cool the X350MA's were. Since then I have bought one of each. The 390 from ebay and the 350 from someone on this forum. So keep your eyes peeled and I'm sure you'll have the oportunity.

Actually Fish I was blessed to exercise my itchy finger earlier today. I saw a Concorde I on CL (San Diego of all areas) and consummated. Luckily I have a S-I-L in Santee who was willing to pick it up for me. I hope to get pictures up in the next month or so. It was on CL for 16 WHOLE HOURS!! I think it is an '83 if I understand serial #'s correctly.

Well you frightened me, onest guv. You probably know there were 48 X350s made I doubt they all survived, someone may known how many are owed on the forum, they'r a knowledgeable lot on here, someone may have some idea.
Anyway, hopefully there will be one each left somewhere, The Concorde sounds a bit of luck, good job you had someone to pick it up, look forward to seeing the pic when you get it. Best of luck with your search Iceman

There is a thread begun by electricdruid on the FS section with a non-functional link to the CL listing. I will attempt to post pics there but have yet to figure out how one does so. Any links or direction I can be sent to a tutorial or such I can read up on??
Re: Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
The easiest way is to sign up with a free hosting site like photobucket.
Upload your pix there then copy and paste the IMG reference or Thumbnail code and paste it here.

Here's how I post a pic...
Go into where you post a reply.
You'll see a bar of icons. About halfway accross, you'll see one that looks like a poloroid picture with a blue computer disk over it "host and image", click on that one.
Hit the browse button
Select the pic you want to post and hit enter
Click on the "host it" button
Ok, for some reason that is throwing an error right now, even after several attempts. So forget about that and instead do this:
Got to Photobucket and sign up (easy to do)
Click on the green "upload now" button and upload your pictures.
Select the picture you want to be on our forum, and a box will apear under it.
Go to the bottom of that box and see "IMG code". Click on those words, and it will say "copied" beside it.
Go to our Forum and go to post reply.
You'll see a bar of icons. About halfway accross, you'll see a small picture of a tree or something "Image". Click it.
In the box, right click on your mouse and "paste". Hit "Ok".
Your image code will appear in your reply box. When you hit "Preview" (beside "Send" at the bottom), you'll see your image in the post.
That's how I just posted this image of my Dynasty (since this picture I'd straighted the slightly off kilter neck so that the strings are correctly over the fretboard now, by the way). Some larger photos will get cut off as this one did. There are other ways to post, but this way is pretty easy.

Re: Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
It ain't even that complicated.
As already stated in my post two above, just copy the IMG code from Photobucket and paste it in your post here.
Done.
No need to even use the editor unless you want to change the link info.

Opps, Barry's right! What was that other guy was thinking with those extra steps?! What a dummy, whoever that guy is anyway...
Just follow the Photobucket steps to upload and copy, and then just paste in the reply box. I knew that, just testing Barry is all.

I've noticed that if you set the screen size to 15" screen(photobucket, imageshack) the photos fit the forum perfectly.
I had major trouble trying to download at first. Almost tore whats left of my hair out.

The only restriction on picture display in the forum is a maximum size of 800 x 640. If your picture is larger, you can either resize it on your host site (a pain) or simply copy the THUMBNAIL code instead of the IMG code and paste it here instead.
That will display a miniature (thumbnail) copy of the picture which is hyper-linked back to Photobucket where it is opened and displayed in the original full size. Very handy when you are trying to illustrate fine details. You can also just drop in the URL but you can't tell if that picture is of interest to you until you click on it. The thumbnail shows you exactly what you're going to get before you click it.

Re: Looking for an x350ma...or am I asking for the moon?
Many thanks for all the tips on picture posting. I did manage it on the For Sale forum under the topic thread about the Electra "Lady" on e(vil) bay. My "pointy" guitar can be seen there.
Perhaps these tips could be culled and "sticky-ed" someplace for us newbies (or are they and I was unsuccessful in discovering it?)
