What Westone do you lust after?

My beauty is winging its way over from Spain to the UK right now, in the shape of a Sunrise Sunburst Prestige that most of you know well.
No prizes on guesses who's it was, he's a good looking Spanish guy with a fetish for Thunder III's.

Problem is I still lust after a Pantera X350 Deluxe & then there's the X390 & the ............

Ooooh... this is good - lets see what the local snobs are after!! Personally, a Spectrum 12 springs to mind - I know, I know; it was a custom build but it was built!!; a white Rainbow like the one I saw Spandau Ballet using, and any of the pointies would light my fires!!

Yes but I thought the 390 was being bid on by the same guy I'd like to prize a 350 Deluxe off but don't think there's much of a chance of that, besides the
390 was a bit beat up. £400, seemed a good price for it?

As for the 350, yes I slipped up there, to busy arranging the purchase of the Prestige which got a little involved, but got my eye on the ball now,

A Spectrum LX bass with both necks, a Pantera X790, a blue/yellow Raider bass, a Quantum, a 5-string Pantera, a blue Spectrum MX/SX...

Do I have any money to purchase any of the above? No.

The reason I joined this forum was because of my lust for a Thunder 1A bass in black.. I found one and have been content ever since.
As for other Westones...I'd be a happy man if one of the Thunder guitars or basses with a through neck came my way. I'd also like a Spectrum GT bass. oh and a Paduak would be nice just for it's cute ugliness.

I love just about all of the Westone line, well maybe I'll pass on the Raiders and Dynastys, I'll leave them for John. Enjoy matey.
I love my Spectrums and the Concord and the Thunder, but I'd really like to have a Rainbow, and a Session, and maybe a Genesis just for the hell of it.

I've just been playing my Spectrum S while sipping an 18 year old scotch, so I'm a happy guy regardless.

Thunder II's and III's and I've just been made aware of the Genesis bass. - All in dark wood please!

An X-390 in any color. And Barry, fine taste in scotch. I myself drink Glenlivet 12 year aged. I find my pallet hasn't developed fully yet as I find the older scotch to be less tasty. I'm sure trying to get there though.

Always a tasty Scotch. The one I was slurping down was an 18 year old Johnny Walker Gold Label brought back me from a recent New york trip by my wife.

Back on topic...as I learn more, my lusting changes. I absolutely love the Phoenix/Spectrum body style and could really get into a Spectrum FX sporting the exquisite heelless set neck, the true UBC pickups, and the Bendmaster FT bridge, would definitely fit the bill, and of course x390/x350.

That $200 Rail needs the slide screw replaced, hence the lower price.

I've gotten quotes ranging from 50 to 65 pounds for shipping from UK to US. Not sure if it's the same in the other direction. Hope that helps.

I was watching the pantera with interest, but unfortunately freight costs makes most UK and USA guitars just too expensive by the time they land in Aus. I only picked up the rainbow last week from Ebay Aus for $550 so that has blown my GAS budget for a while. There is also a Spectrum DX and Thunder 1 on Aus ebay at the moment so trying to control myself

We came through no problems at all as we are in a higher suburb, I have to admit though that the westones were being prepped to go in the ceiling space if the lake near us started to back up. A whole shopping centre not far from me went under with water over the roof of the building, take them 6 months to get going again they say. I had never seen anything like this since I ve been in Brisbane and hope not to see it again. Plenty have lost everything though and compound that with some scumbag insurance companies arguing technicalities over flash flood versus tidal flow to get out of paying

public pressure is the only thing to change them -Suncorp copped heaps after the Innisfail floods a few years ago - this time they say no questions asked (must of hurt them)

The last brown Session II was in the states late on last year. Immaculate, I think someone on here bought it and stores it in his loft. Absolutely beautiful looking guitar, sound good to.

Yes indeed I was lucky enough to get that beauty. It is in storage at my old home as I remodel my new home and my "All things Matsumoku" loft. I believe I got it for $800 or $850 US shipped. What a bargain at that price considering the immaculate condition.

I want one of the UK made Sid Poole designed Westones, but that's not at the top of my want list yet.
