Wow! Shocked What a cool website.

There's some really nice vintage and rare basses on there (although they're a bit over-priced in some cases).

Did you see this rare beast, hummel? A Westone (Spectrum?) 5 string bass in original condition cyclops :

Link ...

You don't see many of those (well, most people don't but hummel already has one Wink ).

Hi Gregg,
Yup, www.marktplaats.nl is the #1 sellingsite over here. It's not an auction like Ebay (though it's owned by Ebay). The #2 sellingsite is www.speurders.nl

I guess the link you mean is this one: BASS
The bass is not totally original, the pickups are modded, though the casings are original. It's a nice one though... but you're right, I still have 5 string project to complete.

Yep, that's the one hummel Cool . Seems that I posted the wrong link Embarassed .

Sadly, I don't understand Dutch (although it seems a little similar to German), so I don't think I'll risk trying to buy anything from there, but you're lucky to have your own local alternative to ebay Very Happy .

.... oddly enough, I've been watching eBay and other sites for awhile now and the Continent seems to have more than it's fair share of Westones; I am suitably jealous! Very Happy
