According to westone.info the Clipper range were made in 1987/88 for the UK and European markets. Not listed in the US pricelists and most were made in Korea.

Never played one so can't say how good but they look Tele-ish if that makes sense. They don't come up too often on UK ebay so far as I remember.

It's a CL3012 and it's the first one I've seen for sale although I'd have to say that's a bit steep for this kiwi!! Probably Korean built with Japanese parts - it has the Bendmaster Deluxe... with the stringlocks!! Westone Clipper Icon_eek - which doesn't make it a bad guitar, just not Matsumoku.... probably!?
