One of Leo Fender's "lesser" brand models
Spending the weekend updating pics and database information for insurance purposes and thought I would throw this up for $#it$ & giggles. Any comments or experiences are welcomed...
One of the initial run as only about the first 300 built were this "Mustang" body style.

As you were, Sargent. She is actually doing abit of noodling on it as I type.
I will publish a short Q&A when the session is over, but can tell you I suspect Leo was speaking the truth when he said that a G&L is what he wished a Fender was back in that day.

It is (too her) something that a fine point just cannot be placed on. That's the best I can do to describe it to you, Sarge.
She really dislikes my Strat and has never cared for the Tele whenever she has played one. That being said she can lose herself for long periods of time with that SC-3. The neck is thin but still substantially deep, has a decent taper running to the nut and very comfortable frets. My meathooks are much to large and clumsy for it but it fits hers very nicely.

Beautiful neck alright. Reminds me of a couple of Ernie Ball Music Man Axis models we have at he shop. Same sort of gorgeous birds eye maple. Stunning.Sgt. Vimes wrote:...thats one hell of a...divine neck...
I've also had a few G&L's in lately, the last being a lime green (!) Legacy. Sounded bright, clean and chime-y as expected of a 'Strat' but I found her to be really, really heavy and kinda on the "thick" side. Yours looks to be more manageable.

He was saving the best for last I think. All of the early G&L stuff is absolutly superb as is the later stuff also. What is there not to love about that grear looking neck. Very nice instrument.
