Hello Steven and Welcome. Smile

In answer to your question, yes, the old forums closed on 5th May. These forums were started up in place of the old ones which are still viewable as archives and will be for a while yet. They can be accessed through the FAQ section on the main page of the site. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Odd, talking about 8 strings; I was just watching an old Cheap Trick clip and noticed that Tom Petersson was using one!

Post by steven Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:03 pm

oh, ok. that's a bit of a shame, i'd done a good few piks of the ol' thunder 1 bass 8 conversion.
will the old posts get transfered, or will i have to start again?

Hi Steven,

No, I'm sorry but the old posts won't be transferred.

Good luck with the Thunder conversion, perhaps you could incorporate that along with the pictures of the one which was stolen.

If you locate your post on the old forum, you can copy the pictures off there if you fancy - or, if you point me in the direction of the original thread I will copy your original post over for you. I can only copy your post though, not the comments of anyone else, so you may just want to start afresh.

Thanks, and welcome!

that seems like the best plan. i shall post some of the new 1A when it arrives, and a few of the old 8. i'll also keep the site up to date with the progress for the new one.

why did the other forum finish by the way?

David just didn't have the time to look after it any more. Fortunately most of the old gang have registered here and David was kind enough to give us plenty on notice so we could set this one up.
