Re: Westone Bass identification and wiring problems.
Looks like a Thunder 1 which has had a pre-amp circuit added to it.

We don't seem to have a T-1 wiring diagram, but here's a Concord 1 diagram which would seem to be about right...

Re: Westone Bass identification and wiring problems.
Yep certainly a Thunder.
A Thunder Jet model going by the all black finish, what's left of it.
The actives are more than likely an improvement
Does it work and how does it sound?

Re: Westone Bass identification and wiring problems.
Hi again and thanks for the identification really grateful.
Looking at all the pictures of the models I did think it could be a Thunder but was slightly confused as mine only has two controls (volume & tone).
I put some flat wound stings on it and it sounds fantastic with the passive pick-ups but haven't tried the active one yet as I didn't want to burn anything out.
Yes the black has taken a battering the lacquer has started to chip off all down the neck so is going to have to be stripped and re-done as for the back of the body there are so many battle scars that I'm not sure what to do with them yet.
Anyone any ideas on best way to tackle the lacquer problem.

Re: Westone Bass identification and wiring problems.
Oh forgot to say the truss rod cover is not original, just one I made to fit.
Now I know it is a Thunder am in the process of making an ebony one which I hope to get Thunder 1 engraved onto.

Yes that looks like it, Nice paint job was it like that or did you have it done?
I have a long way to go with mine but it does sound great.
Thanks for all the help, Regards David.
