Hey I have recently acquired this molested westone guitar. I’m hoping to identify it and restore it back as much as I can to original condition. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ps I’m well aware the pickups are non original.

Here are some pics

Well, it's definitely not a Matsumoku guitar! Likely Korean made judging by the position markers on the edge.

From what I can see of the body construction the neck thru design looks good, but again, not a Mats.

But then there's that head stock!! What's going on there? Surely that has to be a, um, "mod"?
Not only an ugly profile but the 4 +2 tuner layout is badly done. And something not seen on Westone, MIJ or MIK.

The whole point of 4+2 is to create a straight string path from the nut  to each tuner. If you look closely the B and E that's not the case. This would not come from the (any) factory like this. And of course those tuners are upside down, indicating that this was originally a 6 in line head stock design.

I reckon that’s a heavily modded guitar with Westone hardware... or machine heads anyway, although that does look like a Bendmaster Deluxe bridge...
Does the active circuit work?

active circuit does not work. Pickups aren’t original, pretty sure they are passive pups. Haven’t pulled them out yet.

Those are Wilkinson tuners.

A Floydrose style trem.

Definitely not a Westone/Matsumoku by any stretch of the imagination.

So now that I know this is not a westone I’m even more curious in it. Does anyone have any advice on where I could go next to try and identify this guitar?

It could have been anyone's branding on it originally.

As for the manufacturer, it's most probably a Korean build so I would start your search there.
Samick is a good bet to begin, here's some info to get you started: LINK

Good luck!

Its Korean perhaps an Ibanez, they made models with similar design and those huge cut aways by the neck and Heal of the neck.
