Some Internal Forum URL's (Links) May Be Broken

Just when I thought I had all the bloody Forum address changes covered, I just discovered another issue with broken hyperlinks within the Forum.

If you have been reading older posts and clicked on a reference link to another discussion, only to be met with an 'can't-find-it' error, be assured that the post has not disappeared. The internal links need to be changed in order to find it.

A short time ago our forum host, Forumotion, arbitrarily and without notification, changed the way their Forums are referenced on the Internet. (You may remember I sent out an email notice about that.) That frustrated many long time but occasional members who were trying to access the Forum after some absence.

Today I was trying to follow a thread which had several links in it to other Posts. They failed.
If you are experiencing the same thing here's what to do:

1. Hover over the link and note the URL displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen
   It should look something like this:
   http://forum.westoneguitars.net/t2991-westone-knobs?highlight=knobs
   
   
2. In Windows, Right click and select Copy the Link (sorry not sure about the Mac equivalent)
   
   
3. Paste it into the browser's address bar and make the following change and hit Enter
   http://westone.forumotion.com/t2991-westone-knobs?highlight=knobs
   

This is a Royal PITA but it will at least guarantee you'll find your post. As I come across these dead links I'll change them but there are a great number of them, so let me know by PM and I'll get on it!

Of course you're welcome to change it yourself if it's your post that's affected and you know how.

(p.s. Of course you must be logged to do this. Hyperlinks only work for registered users)
