Oops...Sooorrrryyy (I think)
Hiya,
I was just on the "old" Westone site and I think I may have mis-identified Lucy (I know, I know, pictures...). I now think she is a 1986 X300 Pantera Pro. She looks quite similar to Ms. Pollyanna's pink model pictured on the X300 page. Lucy DOES have the two knobs (yes, one volume with the pull up feature and one tone with a press on/off feature) flanking the 5 way switch and the exact same trem' stystem. If I EVER get a picture(s) up, I could be proven wrong again.

Ooh, Yes Confused, you must get some pictures put up now, especially since you think it might be the same as mine. I believe they are quite an oddity too with that extra knob which is also for coil-tapping. They have an awesome range of sounds as you've already discovered with Lucy.
I just wish that my playing was better!
Ms. Pollyanna indeed!!!!
BTW, you must have a proper name that we can call you by - Mr. Confused isn't very appropriate now that you aren't as confused as you were.
(That's not to say that you need to change your username though; just to avoid any confusion!
)

Are we ever going to get to see it?
I sure hope so. Seems like this whole site is devoted to gassing me into a Pantera. I know that sounded weird.

Hiya,
Oh ya, lay a guilt trip on me just because I can't get a-hold of a digital camera and I don't know how to post pictures. That being said and laid aside, Mr. sfalj, I have nothing to compare Lucy to other than my VOX "folk twelve" (acoustic made by Echo-I think) so I can't really be "gassing" (you CAN'T know anything about gas until you're 50!!!) you into a Pantera. You WILL get to see some pictures (at least one) ....maybe I can get one of my kids to help me with it.......meanwhile, my fingertips are sore....

I don't know man, I got GAS at the tender age of 18 when I figured out the internet was filled with pictures of awesome guitars.
Perhaps this gas you speak of is not the same as mine?

Hiya,
Mr. Sfalj...I suspect your gas and my gas ARE different. My apologies, I do not understand "Newspeak". Just put it down to me being an old fart. Although Jumpin' Jack Flash IS a gas, gas, gas...

Ahh, GAS in here generally refers to Gear Acquisition Syndrome, and is something we suffer from to some degree!!
I'm in remission at the moment due to my Electra arriving but a relapse can happen at any moment, especially if one browses the interweb auction sites!!

Typically, Pantera X-275s have natural maple necks and X-300s have black painted maple necks.

Hiya,
The last time I saw Keith Richards "live" (sorry, a bit of an oxymoron) I figured he wouldn't last through the set but he keeps on rockin'. Mr. Colt, Lucy's neck is black lacquered. Ah....GAS....Gear etc....I didn't figure that since Mr. Sfalj lived in what appears to be Canada he would be using such terms...Time to practice..."Lucy, I'm home".....(Ricki Ricardo)

Hey Chaps,
Let's face it, we all suffer from GAS, young or old, After all, that's why we are here in the first place! It's just that some have got it worse than others, including me!

I'm in a perpetual state of relapse. I've found no cure, therefore, I embrace it!

Re: Oops...Sooorrrryyy (I think)
The neck humbucker?
I don't think it came with the guitar. You know, I read somewhere that he owns around 3000 guitars, and only plays about 10 of them. It must incredible to see.

Re: Oops...Sooorrrryyy (I think)
...it's a 5 string! He tunes to Open G and doesn't like the sound with the bottom E on, so he takes it off!! I use the same deal for Stones covers and it really does work a treat; try it, you'll like it!!
Teles came out with a neck h/b; I think it was the Custom model; Andy Summers uses one as well...
As for collections, I'll bet it's a good 'un; but the only one I'd like would be David Gilmours' Broadcaster... the one with a s/n of 1!!

Oh! I should have spotted that one. I know he does that, I just hadn't noticed it in the picture. Keep the can you tell the difference questions coming!
