Just seen this on evil bay.  I've got a windfall coming soon and thought I'd give it a bash.  Is it worth it?  Looks in good shape with a few scratches on the front of the body and some chips to the clear finish on the back of the headstock.  One thing I noticed that made me wonder is that I didn't think the Thunder series had a Trem bar, but there seems to be the threaded hole for one on the bridge.  As well as the toggle switch next to the Volume & Tone knobs are missing(I thought there were three toggle switches)

Yep, I seem to have the bug for westies again, I regret buying my Squire and Rockburn Electrics now. Anyway, how much of a difference is the Thunder to play and sound from the Spectrum?

I can't imagine that a Thunder 1 will be too different from a Spectrum: a Thunder I-A, however, will blow you out of your socks with its' active circuitry....

Who's REALLY got the Westone bug, then?! Don't worry, mate; we've all been there... scouring eBay, Gumtree and Craigslist... haunting the second hand and pawn shops.... ah, yes... the memories!!

G'day Les..
... Cutlasses were made by British luthier Sid Poole under the Westone name in the 90's and are quite well regarded amongst those who know about such things!
We as a group don't know a hell of a lot about them but Westbone may indeed be the man with the knowledge...

Hello, What exactly do you mean by factory specs? String height?

If you mean action and such, that's a personal preference.

They are a great guitar though.

If SYD continues to dissociate, Barry will be forced to send him to therapy. geek

Meantime, here's some Cutlass and Corsair info on our website to read until the wagon comes:
