Slick Guitars at Guitar Fetish

I keep looking at this guitar line sold through GFS. They have a certain grungy appeal but they also appear to be well made and very reasonably priced (if you're American--exchange rates and shipping pretty much wipes that out for this Canuck!)

Just curious if anybody's had any experience with them. Love the single pup models and, of course, the P90's.

I've watched those Slick guitars and other gear for ages, simply 'cause I dig Earl Slick! Particularly the Phantom, Rocker and Slick albums.... 

However, yes; shipping kills any deal pretty much stone cold dead....

They all have a certain appeal but I think I'd start with an SL59 Distressed Yellow (or the Surf Green, or the Aged Woodgrained.) It looks like a poor man's LP Junior, and Lord knows I'm poor! I dig the single pup guitars, but I could be persuaded to look at the SL60 too.

Number two would likely be the SL50 Aged White. It has a deflowered virginal look about it.
