Waiting for Irma to get here

Well we are all tucked in and secure here. All the guitars are in their cases and elevated above the floor so hope we did enough. Looks like the eye of Irma will pass us to the west about 25 miles so we will be catching the worst of it from the east side. Hard to believe this hurricane is still going to be that strong this far inland. Estimated sustained winds here will be 80-100mph with higher gusts and estimated 6-8 inches of rain as well. Glad I live in a brick home but my fear is the trees and power loss. Going to batten down all the hatches now so hope it weakens before it gets here. Thanks Arthur

I've been thinking about you Arthur as we watched the storm's progress.

Harvey was hard to comprehend no matter how many videos we saw, and Irma is beyond all understanding. I can only assume that in times like this your Military training kicks in and you have a much better idea of how to be safe than the average person would have. That has to be some comfort to you and yours at least.

Power  is back on and all safe here. Will be cleaning up the fallen trees for a bit but no major damage other than power out. Now got to watch for the next one. Busy Hurricane season this year.

We made it Ok power is back on and we are rocking again. No major damage but several large trees down and cleanup is under way. We dodged a bullet on this one for certain.
