Taggin' the Bags

I was alright...for awhile. I could smile...for awhile.

Then my collection grew to the point where it became an exercise in frustration to remember what guitar was in which bag/case, especially when a lot of them look so similar. A few years ago I hit on the idea of tagging things so I could more easily locate my stuff.

A simple text would have be better than nothing, but then I'd still have to read every blooming tag to find what I wanted.
A picture would be better!

The local business supply store carries a plastic ID card holder which is a perfect size to display a picture of a head stock + a line or two of text.


It took a bit of fiddling to get the printout size right in MS Word, then I cropped existing pix of the guitars to show only the head stock. I added the model info, cut the "cards" to fit, then for protection, added a piece of acetate over the top.



And here's why I did this. Quick, find the Spectrum S!



Boo ya!




Takes a bit of work initially but makes it dead easy to find something quickly in the herd.

Certainly a bit more swish than my torn-off piece of masking tape with Magic Marker writing on the case! 

Now that's cheap...but it's still text.
