'Westone' Flying V...
Obviously not late '60s-early '70s with the bird logo, but what do people think - German, Chinese or something else?

Re: 'Westone' Flying V...
But... but .... but ..... it says early 70's, pre-law suit rare...
... is that not the honest truth??!
They keep trying it on, eh! You gotta hope that this is just a chancer who knows nothing rather than a chancer who is deliberately misleading folk....

Re: 'Westone' Flying V...
Don't forget, "Made in Japan..."
Weird thing is, though, I've developed a real obsession about getting a Flying V in the last couple of weeks, so if it stays at pennies, I might actually have a punt at it! I can't see myself ever being seen in public with summat that looks like that ( ), so a tenner (yes, I am that cheap!) for a 'Westone' to sit in the corner of the room might be worth it

Seen these things.
Was thinking of getting one to stick on the garage/shed wall

Hahahaha! I wonder if anyone actually plays something like that outside of their bedroom?!
Although, with some pyro or flame projectors in the exhaust pipes...

That's why I bought this one...
I actually sounds OK, but the whole thing is not anywhere near the real mats quality.
It just hangs on my wall to keep the Explorer company when it's out

I don't like Vees.
There. I said it. As much as I love the weirder shapes, I can't find any love for a V... though the Dean VNMT twin neck does tick a box or two...

Re: 'Westone' Flying V...
I've not been too crazy about them either, although they do look dramatic on stage.corsair wrote:I don't like Vees...
The only thing more weird than the Vee was when Gibson had a "blonde moment" a few years ago and decided to release a variation on their classic design.
The variation? Why, to reverse the Vee, headstock and all! Looked like a big friggin' arrow for the Jolly Green Giant! There's likely a pic or two on the Interwebs if you enjoy shaking your head.

Yes...
... I have indeed gazed upon the reverse Vee and wondered just wtf they were thinking.
They have a new design out at the moment which looks a little PRS-ish, but quite a departure from their rehash norm and I quite like it!! Let me find a pic....
Ahhhh, here we go...

Re: 'Westone' Flying V...
A new one on me. I'd never guess that was a Gibby.
Can also see echoes of Music Man Axis in there.

Re: 'Westone' Flying V...
I'd better get mine on the market then I think. It's just as rare, and just as 1960's 70's as that one!
