Taking ad-Vantage of a warm Spring Day

Last Fall we moved to Port Weller on the north side of St. Catharines on Lake Ontario. We've been doing a lot of reno's on the house including the yard. We've added a sun room, a stone patio, a natural gas BBQ, and...a hammock!

The weather has been typically spluttering into summer with alternating hot humid days and cooler days, but yesterday was like the Goldilocks story...just right.

The wife took the dog out for her walk along the shore, so out came the Margarita, the Vantage VW150, and the hammock:



One of those days when life is just good. Ya know?

Feet up, a cool drink at hand and the soft dulcet tones of an acoustic, lovely!

Ta lads. No response from the neighbours ( I think the windows were all shut).
But the birds, squirrels and my oldest cat seemed to enjoy it all.

Bugger about the spreader bar, Barry... never mind!Yeah; you've got to have long leaders from the bed to the hook to make spreaders work properly....

I've put all the acoustics away and use the electrics in my hammock; just pass the cable through the window and "Wa-hay!!"

Rock n roll without all that pesky standing up.

Now thats what you call strung out...

As a complete aside Barry, 28 years ago I was working on the Isle of Wight in a Warner's cover band entertaining the holiday makers. I was always at a loss as to what to buy for my new brother in law for his birthdays but I remembered they had a couple of trees in their garden the perfect distance apart, so I bought a hammock for him and posted it off in time for his big day.

It was only when I went to see him a couple of months later when I got back that I saw he had cut down one of the trees while I was away, prior to the hammock arriving

The following year was even worse, he rode a motorbike which sat in the back yard without any weather protection (wet seats are never good first thing in the morning), so remembering the model, I sent him a bike cover.....really chuffed I had got him a really practical gift.

You guessed it..The bugger had only gone and sold the bike while I was away....
