Re: Dimension IV - UK
yarp.
I broke my own rule (don't make an offer on an auction with bids already in place) which I kinda feel bad about.
So my sincere apologies to anyone here who wanted to make moves for it, I'll pay my price in hell.
resoldered a few points, deoxidized the pots and switch, put washers on the pots as they were just loose and the knobs were the only thing keeping them up.
lightly polished the frets, degunked the board, bridge and pickups and a set of Dean Markley 10-52 strings on, a period correct wang bar on, and a set up done, it's ready to rock!
just the usual few drinks on the extremities and a missing trem plate is all that's wrong.
I do like these FT trems, properly set up they hold tune really well.

Re: Dimension IV - UK
Not as bad as it looks, definitely just lacquer cracking.
Apart from the dink's it's a very decent guitar and I'm loving all the tones available, now if the body was a manageable shape....say a Spectrum for instance, everything would be perfect!

I have been the first to do an offer for that guitar and after 2 minutes I asked to seller if he could sell it immediately to me with the option "buy it now".
He asked me to make a proposal about the price and when I sent him an e-mail with some questions, the seller didn't answer anymore.
I done other bids but nothing. He hasn't been honest with me and now I discover that he sold the guitar outside eBay.
You bought that guitar maybe?

Re: Dimension IV - UK
I bought it, yes.
The fact he lives 5 minutes walk from me probably swayed his thinking.
Are you sure you were the first to make an offer? I was talking to him before any bids were made, and my offer was accepted with just 2 bids @£7 were registered, it took him some time to pull the listing down.

Max, if you want the guitar make me an offer, as above I've fixed and set it up, cleaned and restrung it so now it's perfectly fine, send a pm if you really need it.

Yes I'm sure that my offer has been the first also because in this way if your friend would accept my proposal, there were't problems with other bidders. However I hope that my post didn't sound to you like offensive.I wasn't demand nothing about the auction.
About your proposal, tell me the conditions of the guitar after your works and tell me also which price you would want to reach out.
Thanks.

Where are you based Max? I wont, under any circumstances post a guitar overseas, just to the UK.

Thank you so much.Probably it was destiny with this guitar. You think that it's the fourth Dimension that I can't buy and not for my fault. All the sellers don't want to ship the guitar to my country. And I add that 3 on 4 guitars, they were black.
