Morning all. New boy here. Just found a Westone Prestige 227 loafing in my son's bedroom. It's looking a little unloved and needs a clean, finger board needs wire wooling, new strings and is missing a control knob. If I spruce it up and get it working, what can I expect from the sound, playability etc. I.e. Is it worth me spending the time to get it going again?

All depends how it's set up and which pups you have in there.

Decent quality guitar.

Certainly wouldn't wire wool the 'board. Just soapy water and an old toothbrush then some oil.

From the link you sent, it's the red burst 227 with the super twin II pickups. Tremolo arm and one knob missing!
