Not for the faint of heart.    pale  Sad

Can't believe it.  In the man's defense, he had this thing hacked years ago when little was known of the Westone quality.

Actually makes me angry to see.  I REALLY hope the seller has changed since his ignorant days of years past.   affraid

Other than the 2 massive craters on the and the missing original bridge it looks quite good.  Might be the best chance of getting one over there in the colonies.
I can see the point of doing this to an anonymous cheap guitar but if I ever hear of anyone doing this today I WILL hunt them down and kill them - slowly - with a spoon.

I would check out the flame but I cant seem to see past the massive holes some  clown  drilled in it

Maybe it could be further improved by installing a single coil tele pick-up in the neck position. I think theres a guitar expert in the UK doing such modifications  Sad  Sad especially on westones

I was reading up on 'guitar sitars' after seeing this & it did reckon that most use lipstick pickups, so you could be onto something there... Wink

You lost me. How does putting a lipstick pickup in the neck position help with hiding those three body holes below the bridge??

Rest easy, Barry - it was a none-too-serious reference to the fabled guitar butcher of eBay & his penchant for sticking lipsticks in places they don't belong, but we definitely don't need to go down that road again... Wink

Laughing  Yeah, someone needs to buy it and send it to him for "modification".

Think of the wonders that could follow!!!    What a Face    affraid

And Barry, they're talking about a lipstick being a good fit for a sitar sound.  Nothing will truly save this poor Prestige.

HOWEVER... you could install a piezo pickup under its bridge and use the lower section of stings as an electric harp.   king

Best thing to do - stick a Bigsby on there & no-one would even notice the extra holes... Wink
