Thunder 1A Bass..... Bit odd on the bay
Hi all,
Just noticed this one, looks a bit odd to me... odd Headstock, no serial number and with a bridge pick up,..... Could it be that someone has hacked the headstock and cobbled together the extra pickup or possibly a prototype for another Thunder model....?

It's a sawn-off. There is no central peak on the head stock. Poor bridge pick-up routing, too
.

A broken bridge pickup to match the bad routing too.
What a mess, people bidding on it too....nuts.

Could have been sawn-off to remove the serial number? Is it hot?

The only reason for cutting down the headstock would be to remove the serial IMHO.
it's a Thunder 1A but whoever owned it was desperate for a Thunder 3!
it's a sad specimen indeed.

Or like I did with my old strat, reshaped to hide severe damage.

Jokes aside. Seriously thought your red one would have done better than that.

Me too! I turned down offers way over the selling price, still, I made a profit and someone got a good deal, so everyone wins eh, it was actually bought by a board member here, not massively active though.
