Not lack of love, just practicality. Logistical problems - I've known parcels sent first class airmail take 3 weeks to get to the USA, and I'm reluctant to let guitars spend that long in transit, and some couriers aren't all that careful with anything marked 'fragile'. Many UK courier companies won't provide insurance cover (The biggest, probably - Parcelforce - specifically excludes musical instruments from any insurance cover) for guitars, or charge ridiculous prices (Shipping a guitar to Germany via DHL would cost £122)

Whatever floats your boat, I suppose. I've sent a couple of guitars over to that side of the pond to forum members in the last year and it didn't seem to be a problem for me.

One was a Hondo Lead II that I was able to break down and the other was a Stuart Spector neckthru that a dude on the Kramer Forums from over there found on a Craigslist ad here and just had to have it.

Still a pretty nice guitar in any case. Just sad to be shut out of the action. Smile

That is very pretty. I think it is yours - can you please weigh it? If it isn't heavy I might look a little harder....

Thanks.

Thank you for that, much appreciated.

And thank goodness - it is far too heavy! Smile I have too many basses as it is but, had it been under 4kg, would have found it hard to resist as it looks spectacular in white.

I'm liking the cut of your jib there. Listening to / watching the British media at the moment is a stomach churning excersise in sycophancy probably only bettered by the North Korean broadcasting company. Still, never mind, at least us northerners have got the Olympics to look forw.......oops, just forgot, that's in London as well.

Havent watched a single second of this stuff on tv. What I do like though is the get together community spirit such as street parties, not that Im going to any mind, oh umm and the extra day public holiday.

Just need another one of them to get married or summat next year.

In retrospect I resent enjoying the silver jubilee in '77 as a 6 year old, she owes me 5 more hours of resentment and mistrust

Not on the cards AFAIK, but we can all look forward to a national day of mourning when Lizzie snuffs it.
