By pure chance

As some of you longterm members know...this whole Westone deal has kind of come and gone in my case. Back n forth.
Owned a few over the yrs.

Now. As some of you are also aware i build a LOT of tubeamps these days. By the crapload even,and in doing so pull off the occasional bass amp too.
Big no-no is..i since a while lack a bass  

Funny ya know. Own all in all 33 guitars...but not ONE bass..(anymore)

Well. Last night there was an add for a...*drumroll*...SLM Westone Spectrum V. Yep. The 5 stringer. At a rate of...50 Euros  
`N the thing looked like just about new so..

No pics as of yet but i´ll upload during the day.

If nothing else,now i can at least try the bassamps i build out

That's one we have no record of on the website so we'll be looking forward to seeing it and adding it to the online collection.

What i can tell you for know is that the bass is rather conventional put together. Two pickups,passive. Rather highoutput pups tho. One volume and two toneknobs.
Quality strikes me as decent at least. Stringpack height is rather low..no dead spots. Simply...works. What can i say?

As a whole this specimen has seen rather little use for some reason.

Here we go....

Hard maple neck obviously.
Knurled knobs...haven´t measured DC resistence of the pups this far...
Weight is just shy of 4kg

Ooooh, that's one hell of a good buy.

No markings per se.

Checked DC resistence. 12.5k approx for both pickups.

hey racing, very nice my friend, the only you could have done any better on that deal would to have six strings on that thing, and a extra set in the cabin cuddy of it's case mate. Could it ever be for sale in the future?DYNASTY said that.
