Found a Westone Concorde II...
Hey guys,
this baby came to me by magic. Does anyone of you happen to know more of the history of this model and what it's worth? It's in a bad shape but still plays ok.
I'd like to post two pictures in my dropbox but it doesn't work. Maybe if one of you shoots me an message I can provide him with the links so he/she can post it.
Thank you!

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
A Concord 2 in good condition is worth about £120 to £150. One in poor condition is worth between £30 and £80.
Or alternatively, its worth what someone is willing to pay.

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
I don't know yet. I just changed the strings to see how much live is still there. What I noticed is the screws on the top plate - never saw that before and didn't know what to do with it. First the high E-String had some noise with it, I then loosened the string and put it below the screw on the top plate and now it's fine. I don't know what would be the correct way to use these screws? They are obviously necessary...on the picture the strings are the old ones, I basically but the new ones like that. But I don't know if they went around the screw once or just below it. I just have them below.

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
You got it right, the strings sit in the groove undernea the the string tree/retainer.
the string tree is used to both stop the strings popping out of the nut by increasing the strings angle while adding pressure to the nut, and to help give all the strings the same angle from the nut to the tuners.
google it.

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
Do you mean these? If so the strings go below, there are little grooves that they rest in.

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
Sold it, two years ago..Concord III is a much better guitar. Better pups.
Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
Am I right in saying the only difference between the II and III is brass knobs, pups and maple board?

Re: Found a Westone Concorde II...
Why is mine with a Humbucker? Seems rather rare? Didn't find a 2nd one on the internet with a humbucker. All singlecoil like above
