Westone X70 Lead guitar
I have owned a Westone X70 lead guitar since 1988, but just haven't ever got around to playing it, which is a great shame as it looks fab. The guy in the guitar shop who sold it to me recommended it on the basis that it had a good tone:he pointed out the wood grain on the kneck which ran perfectly parallel, and said that Westone had to use the best maple as it was naked for all to see. I still have the original receipt for £119.00. Engraved metal plate on rear says 603008 Made in Japan
Condition: volume and tone knobs replaced (the old black plastic ones fell off at some point, I think I have the somewhere in the house but not sure), a couple of very minor dings to the body from transporation and no scratches. And un-played so no wear to frets/kneck or the body/ body!
Any interest from fellow members/ likely value?
Thanks
Mike

Re: Westone X70 Lead guitar
Hello Mike and welcome.
Firstly, I don't want to play the heavy here but strictly speaking, these forums are not just a place to buy and sell guitars. Is your guitar already listed on eBay and if so, could you post a link or item number for the auction please?
As to value, I suggest that you check out completed listings on eBay which will give you an indication as to start/end prices. As a matter of interest, a low starting bid always seems to attract buyers more than a higher Buy it Now or starting price.

Hi Pauline
Thanks for the welcome.
Might sell it as it lays idle and I have moved on to other interests. Did some homework already on e-bay and Google searches but can't find this model and only 2 references to it on USA specialist websites, confirming its a 1986 model and 2 users scored it a 10! Nothing came up when I searched the forums so thought I'd post some details to see if it's of any interest/importance.

Re: Westone X70 Lead guitar
Have a look here; is this the one you're talking about? As to value, well, whatever someone is willing to pay is the general answer and checking out the eBay completed listings for Spectrums in general might be a good start.
Hey, we'd love to see it, though - would you be able to take some pix of it and post 'em here?
