quite unusual to see a blue SX with rosewood fretboard, typically it is blue tinted maple
i thought only the black ones had rosewood

Yeah, an oddity for sure.
Generally speaking, I prefer a rosewood fretboard, but the blue finish was what set this model apart from the rest, so dunno what happened here. A manufacturing boo-boo? Cost cutting measure?
