Anybody tried Gumtree ??

Just googling around yesterday (as you do) on Gumtree and a Thunder 1(a?) and a Spectrum SX were both sold in London in March for £30 and £40 respectively. Oh, that I lived a bit closer !! They are still posted if you fancy they are still there. Good luck!

Didn't know about Gumtree; ta! - but yep there are plenty of other auction-y type sites about; Craigslist in the US, Trademe in NZ and there one in Sweden which may be worth keeping an eye on seeing as the Swedish Education system bought a load of Matsumoku instruments in the 80's!!

There's guy who has a nom-de-plume of 'racing' over at the Matt forums who could be a source... I'm personally not too bothered due to the distances involved, but you Pomgolians and Europeans should into this like like big, hairy dogs....

I check gumtree daily, iv found a few good deals there; i'd never ask someone to post an item I found for sale interstate though: not worth the risk & theres absolutely no buyer protection.
