Concord Guitar Spec please
Please could someone direct me to the weight spec on the Concord range. My main guitar is a Cutlass Classic not only for it's neck, playability and sound but also it's weight.
I like the look of the Concord so any help and information would be most appreciated. I would definitely want to go for the three pickup version. I use those position 2's and 4's alot.
Lastly I'm a reggae, funk, jazz player, how do you think the Concord would sit in these vibes?
Many thanks

Re: Concord Guitar Spec please
Hi Meadows. Have a look HERE if you haven't already. Our specs generally do not include the weight of the instruments, however, you'll find that the Concord is extremely light and comfortable to play. The output (at least the measured resistance) is on the low side, in the 4.5K range, but most agree that it is a pleasant enough chimey sound and more than adequate for most music.
You may wish to swap out the pups for greater gain as some members have.

After posting the question I found a Westbone link to Concord details and saw that they are also made from alder wood, so should be a similar weight (ish) to the Cutlass. I like the sound of the neck.
Any thoughts on suitable pup swaps, preferably Westones. Would prefer a humbucker in the bridge that I could tap and that wasn't overly hotter than the neck and middle pickups?....overal warmth could be good (sorry don't want much

Many thanks

Re: Concord Guitar Spec please
The Concord III is the one to go for, has great pups and good a bit hotter than the Concord I or II.

Re: Concord Guitar Spec please
You're describing a "fat Strat" configuration now, something the Concord is not.
You might be happier with something in the Spectrum lineup instead.
Something like an SX perhaps?

Re: Concord Guitar Spec please
Thank you guys, very helpful info
I like the look and spec of those Concord III 's in both pick up configurations. I would prefer to try before I buy so will see what comes up on the boards or post a Wanted request and fingers crossed the right guitar will come along.
