Concord II in Ptown OR
Hey guys, been a little while. I've had my eyes on this Concord for the last couple of days, looks to be in good shape w/ OHSC and whammy. Bridge pickup looks replaced, as does the bridge. Gas would add about $60 - any thoughts?

Hazy pics, might be my phone.... But that looks like a trem bridge.
I have an 82 version, same colour.... By a mile it's my favourite of my westones. Get it!

Strange bridge on that, looks like a Kahler or a Hipshot type trem?

Looks like a string lock too. Must say the bridge looks wrong on a vintage instrument like that.

Between steelhead fishing, my busy season painting and rehearsing for a gig with a gypsy swing band I've been a busy fellow. I'll try to come around more often, this is a great place! By the way, i'll let you all know how the Django swing band goes, they want me to join but its far from my forte:P.gittarasaurus wrote:are you back yet?
As for the axe, I contacted the owner and I may make it up there if he still has it soon. I agree with Sarge, the bridge does look pretty weird on that Westie. I don't see these pop up often around here, i'd love to snag it up. Does look like a Kahler, huh?

Re: Concord II in Ptown OR
i'm just blabbering...
years ago... when i was an apprentice, i worked with some old, old-school, union guys. which means, they felt obligated to constantly f#*k with you.
as the low kid on the job, you get to be the coffee boy. this one old fart i worked with would say the same thing every day, when i went to get his money for coffee break he would hand me his cash and in the same moment say,
are you back yet?
every day

^^^^^
So I contacted the owner again and he said it was originally a hardtail and was routed for the new tremolo bridge. Hmmmm, now i'm not so hip on driving up there, its a 2 hour drive and id' hate to see a crappy routing job.

Good choice Hobs, pass on that! Potential Kahler, locking nut and high output bridge pup? Just don't fit the old girl!

Re: Concord II in Ptown OR
That is such a shame
I had a similar incident a couple of years back with a Vantage Avenger I bought as a project on ebay
I paid $61 and when it arrived the neck was OK but the body had been modified for another humbucker and what a terrible job
It did come with 3 MMK45s so that did cheer me up a little bit
