Cowboy Chord Syndrome
I have posted this link a couple of times before but I do not want anyone to miss it. It is a great technique for repairing divotted fret boards.

Here is a Matsumoku made Vox Standard 24 that came to me today. Unfortunately, it had obviously spent many a happy hour at a campfire and the fretboard was pretty bad at the lower frets.
Here is an after picture. You can see a slight colour difference in places, but that is it. I am sorry, but I did not do a before picture as, by nature, I am impatient.

Whole board was scraped clean with a Stanley blade, hence loads of lemon oil which is still soaking in.

Well spotted
I actually did and they are not as bad as they look, but I need to go over them again.
Now that the board is dry and without harsh camera flash - I can honestly say that the board repairs are just about invisible.
