Genisis help
Hey all,
New to the forum here. I just picked up a Westone Genisis II 1987. Does anyone have info on the pickups......specs, values, etc. A search here didn't turn up anything.
Bridge pup is dead (8 pole double coil). This thing was wired kind of strangely, one coil wired to the shielded white and ground plate. The other coil was wired with both ends of the coil soldered to the ground plate.....??????
Resistance of the coil wired properly is 6.67k ohms. Resistance of the coil soldered both ends to ground was dancing in the megohm range (open, I assume).
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Genisis help
Ok folks, I think I've got my Genisis pup problem on the run. One dead coil on the bridge pup.......got a mbiii/mbiv set waiting at home. Might have to do a little swapping to get the mbiv fully operational, but I believe I have the parts needed now. No covers though, and now I have to try to find a creme cover for a mbiii to fit the Aria ProII Thor Sound 550 I just bought (to go along with my TSB400). :lol!:Damn Matsumoku, Damn eBay, and damn a very bad case of GAS!

Re: Genisis help
They're a nice instrument, the Genesis; well, I like mine just fine! From memory, mine has an MMK 45 at the bridge.....
