single cut semi on gumtree (UK) in Teeside, £160 listed today

I had a look at the unidentified's on .info and it didn't match up

Very interesting oldie. And I'll bet she sounds great too with that single coil in the neck.

The bridge does appear very high in that side shot though, but the strings seem to meet the neck OK.

I've saved the pix and emailed the seller to see if there's any more info on this one. A candidate for the "unknown" section of the web site?

Well, I received a very prompt reply from the seller. Not very good news:
Hi Barry, I bought this on speck from an ebayer after it failed to draw a bid. When I got it delivered, the quality did not meet my expectations.
Then I read the label inside and it was sold by Biswas and Sons which probably means it was made in Indian not Japan. It has all the hallmarks of Westone but I suspect it is a copy/forgery.

I added a pickup,volume and tone control, to improve its chances of selling.Otherwise I have no idea of its Year of manufacture or origin. Feel free to add the photos to your site. I would be interested to know of any other similar models out there. Cheers John.
