Thunder 1A Guitar Wiring
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that the one wire going into the coil switch from each pickup is actually taken from the two joined soldered wires that link both coils in the humbucker?
Thanks for any replies

Yeah Barry I have checked the diagram but only one wire from each pickup is shown going into the coil tap. I don't think that it can work like that. This is why I think that it is the two joined wires from the centre of the bucker.
I have to admit than I am not very good at much and electrics is one of those things.
Let hope someone clever like Grogg or Gittarasaurus turns up!!

Re: Thunder 1A Guitar Wiring
yes that is correct. the red wire comes from the two wires joined in the center of the humbucker coils.
the white is the output wire.
the shield in the cable is connected to the other end of the 2 coils and is also connected to the base plate.
coil split moves the ground connection from the end of the 2 coils to the middle, bypassing one coil. the red wire simply needs to be grounded to change to single coil output on the white wire

It is all up and running now except phase reversal switch. I will have another look at it tonight.
