Advice on wiring a 1984 Thunder 1A
I have recently started to restore a 1984 Thunder 1A and am up to the rewiring stage. Unfortunately the active circuit was gone when I acquired the guitar so I would like to wire it up as passive, still with the coil tap and phase switching.
To do this do I use an active wiring diagram and leave off the connections to the third mini switch and active pot? Could anyone suggest the best diagram to use for this?
Also, are there any thoughts on an alternative use for the redundant 3rd mini switch and the active pot?

Here is the original active wiring information for reference.
And here is the passive wiring schematic.

Thanks for the advice, some good ideas there. Will have to investigate them further.
Has anyone else out there rebuilt a thunder 1a without the active circuit?
